In a way, yes. The Swifts were forced to move out of their Follyhouse Lane ground, and found themselves on the next pitch to Walsall Town at the Chuckery sports grounds on the Birmingham side of town.

Both Walsall Town FC and Rushall Rovers FC were stuffed with leading council officers,Aldermen,Councillors,and several either were,or went on to become,mayor of Walsall in the 1880s and 1890s.
